Worms: Revolution – good game
Worms: Revolution is one of the most daring Worms titles from the well-known series produced by Team 17. The “revolution” insinuated by the name of the game was actually designed to introduce the modern concept of the game that includes many features: a system of classes of worms, dynamic water as weapon and many other interesting things - discover new opportunity.
Worms: Revolution has a new engine and all the object in the game are now three-dimensional. However, the 3D effect is purely cosmetic because the fights happen all on a two-dimensional plan. This game has been released on 2012 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
But not only the fighting environment has a new look now, but the worms themselves that are now a little big greasy, especially because now they are presented in the three dimensional plan. From my point of view, this change is not so good, I like more the classic worms from the time of Armageddon.
Battlefield can be generated automatically or created by players and they will have to choose from the four themes offered by the game: Beach, Sewers, Farmyard and Spooky. Each of these game environments contain elements of three-dimensionality and more eye-candy. For example, a level based on the Sewers theme you will be facing rats and crocodiles that roam freely and, occasionally, look at the camera to intimidate you - join this fun world and you will have the time of your life..
We have some major changes in terms of gameplay. For instance, now we have something extra to worry about on the battlefield: water. And I do not mean the water under the map, but water as a weapon. We have three weapons for the liquid attack: water gun, water strike and water bomb. Each generates its own natural water. Do not expect however to water like PhysX, this is all about some gel balls that come together when they are touching.
Water is able to model after land forms, which will lead to two possibilities: Enemies will immerse in water, which will bring them only a drop of 5 points after each lap life that is under water or enemies will be takes by water in a mine or in fatal water from the underground realm combat.
Worms: Revolution is a good game, but by now mean revolutionary, as insinuated by his name. But in big lines is a good game, a fun game that is worthy to be played - start to play now.
